Marked US on the flap & used by cadets at West Point.This type of leather ammo pouches was adopted around 1874 for all arms (Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery) for the Springfield breech loader in .45-70. Black leather construction, good belt lops and closing strap. Has loops inside for 20x 45-70 cartridges. Overall in great condition.
