Jackets begin as solid rods of gilded metal cut to length. A profiled cavity is precision machined into one end to hold the core. The cavity is fluxed and a pure lead core is inserted. This assembly is then heated at very high temperature to create a true fusion bond between core and jacket. Then each bullet is finished with a long, protected point for excellent flight characteristics and resistance to damage in rifle magazines. Expanded bullets show the advantages of this attention to detail. The solid copper rear shank resists any deformation to ensure bullet integrity. The soft lead core stays firmly attached to the jacket for incredibly high retained weights – in excess of 90 percent.
