RARE PARKER HALE .22 LR WEBLEY MK IV CONVERSION KIT

RARE PARKER HALE .22 LR WEBLEY MK IV CONVERSION KIT

RARE PARKER HALE .22 LR WEBLEY MK IV CONVERSION KIT. This conversion kit allows you to fire .22LR ammunition in Webley MKIV and VI revolvers with 6-inch barrels. Mirror-bright bore, immaculate chambers. 90-95% of its original bluing remains. Perfect markings. Very easy to install. Its adjustable rear sight allows for excellent accuracy at the range.

The Morris Tube is a separate tube with a chamber section that slides into the .455″ chamber of the revolver’s barrel, and protrudes beyond the muzzle with a threaded section that carries a knurled bronze nut that tightens against the revolver muzzle – pulling the Morris chamber firmly into the .455 chamber – and damped by a leather washer. Only firm finger pressure is required to hold the tube in place.

The Parker Hale adaptors provided a far more economical proposition, than did specialist permanently converted or factory option miniature-calibre revolvers, for those already in possession of service models.

These complete kits are virtually impossible to find and do work very well.

RARE PARKER HALE .22 LR WEBLEY MK IV CONVERSION KIT

The Webley revolver went through a number of changes, culminating in the Mk VI, which was in production between 1915 and 1923. The large .455 Webley revolvers were retired in 1947, although the Webley Mk IV .38/200 remained in service until 1970 alongside the Enfield No. 2 Mk I revolver. Commercial versions of all Webley service revolvers were also sold on the civilian market, along with a number of similar designs (such as the Webley-Government and Webley-Wilkinson) that were not officially adopted for service, but were nonetheless purchased privately by military officers. Webley's records show the last Mk VI was sold from the factory in 1957, with "Nigeria" noted against the entry.
