By 1986, Howard Blackmore had compiled his monumental record of London gunmakers. It was published in England under the title A Dictionary of London Gunmakers 1350-1850 and in America with the title Gunmakers of London 1350-1850. This Supplement begins with a new introductory chapter on the .Foreign. gunmakers followed by records of all of the new information found about previously unidentified armorers, gunmakers and gunsmiths. Where new information has been located about those who appeared in the Dictionary,they too have been included in an updated entry. A LIMITED NUMBER of the original edition Gunmakers of London 1350-1850 were produced.
It consists of two volumes, each bound with heavy card stock bindings retaining original paper stock dust jackets. The main volume features 222 white paper stock pages bearing a comprehensive index of known gunmakers operating in London during the period specified, supplemented by an index and black-and-white sketches and diagrams. The supplement consists of 156 white paper stock pages with an additional introduction and history of London firearms manufacturing, similarly supplemented by black-and-white sketches, advertisements, and diagrams. Each book measures 225 mm (w) x 286 mm (h), and is accompanied by a period original white card stock slip
